Groom:  Yes, I will take her as my wife,
I will love her all my life.

Pastor: Will you have, and also hold
As at this time you have told?

Groom:  Yes, I will have, and I will hold,
As at this time I have told,

Pastor: Will you love through bright or bleak?
Will it be her hand you seek?

Groom:  Yes, I'll love through bright or bleak,
And her hand I’ll always seek,

Pastor: Will you love her when you’re flying high?
Will you love her if riches pass you by?

Groom:  Yes, I'll love her when we’re flying high,
And I will love her if riches pass us by,

Pastor: Will you love her when you're fit,
And also when you're down a bit?

Groom:  Yes, I'll love her when we're fit,
And when we're hurt, or down a bit,

Pastor: Johannah, will you answer me right now
These questions, as your wedding vow?

Bride:  Yes, I will answer right now
Your questions as my wedding vow.

Pastor: Will you take John as your Husband?
And hold him as your loved one?

Bride:  Yes, I take him as my Husband,
And hold him as my loved one.

Pastor: Will you have, and also hold
As at this time you have told?

Bride:  Yes, I will have, and I will hold,
As at this time I have told,

Pastor: Will you love through rain or sleet?
Will it be his hand you seek?

Bride:  Yes, I'll love through rain or sleet,
And his hand I’ll always seek,

Pastor: Will you love him when you’re rich
Or if your poor and in a ditch?

Bride:  Yes, I'll love him when we’re rich,
And if we’re poor and in a ditch,

Pastor: Will you love him when you're fit,
And also when you're down a bit?

Bride:  Yes, I'll love him when we're fit,
And when we're hurt, or down a bit,

Pastor: Will you love with all your heart?
(to John)Will you love till death you part?

Groom:  Yes, I'll love with all my heart
From now until death do us part,
And I will love her when we're rich,
And when we're broke and in a pinch,
And when we're fit, and when we're sick,
(Oh, CAN'T we get this finished quick?)
And I will love through good and bad,
And I will love when glad or sad,
And I will have, and I will hold,
And if I might now be so bold,
I'll love her my entire life,
Yes, I WILL take her as my wife!

Pastor: Will you love with all your heart?
(to Johannah) Will you love till death you part?

Bride:  Yes, I'll love with all my heart
From now until death sets us apart,
And I will love him when we're rich,
And when we're broke and in a ditch,
And when we're strong, and when we're ill,
(Oh, how exciting, what a thrill!)
And I will love through good and bad,
And I will love when glad or sad,
And I will have, and I will hold,
And if I might let this unfold,
I'll always keep him as my loved one,
Yes, I WILL take him as my husband!

Pastor: Then if you'll take her as your wife,  (looks at John)
And if you'll love him all your life,   (looks at Johannah)
And if you'll have, and if you'll hold,  (looks at both)
From now until the stars grow cold,
And if you'll love through good and bad,
And whether you're happy or sad,
And love in sickness, and in health,
And when you're poor, and when in wealth,
And if you'll love with all your heart,
From now until death do you part,
Yes, if you'll love through and through,
Please answer with these words: I DO.

Bride and Groom:  I DO!  (pastor looks at John first, then Johannah)

Pastor: You're married now! So kiss the bride,
But please, do keep it dignified.
