Madrids, Otto, Richard, Donna, Amos, Magnus & Michael -who hosted us along the way!!!

We are thoroughly worn out and incredibly satisfied by being able to accomplish our 2005 Spring Tour.  Here are some more unaltered photo galleries.  Because there were many fun times along the route we often forgot to take pictures-forgive us for the gaps.  We LOVE you ALL and thanks, again!!!

A LITTLE UNPLANNED TRIVIA

As we continue to pour over the atlas in amazement of Romeo's accomplishments we discovered that we flew by the 3 highest peaks in the contiguous United States.  Other than Mt. Everett in Alaska (1st highest) and Mauna Kea in Hawaii (5th highest) we flew right by Mt. Whitney in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California (14,494ft); Mt. Elbert in Colorado (14,433ft); and Mt. Rainier here in Washington (14,411ft).  These were the "Fourteeners" we had to fly around because we couldn't fly over them!  Way to go 05Romeo! Had we realized this during the trip you would be looking at a million pictures of each of these three mountains!  Next time.

JOHANNAH'S FAVORITES

The origin of the Rio Grande! I feel so attached to this one!  Numerous rivers and springs that come from west, north and east organize themselves into the start of the Rio Grande.  It seems that the Rio begins its journey almost immediately as a "gorge," too.  So amazing.

The origin of the Colorado River's the sandy color.  This seems unreal to think the color starts as if a paint brush was dipped into an ink well forever marking the river below.

Picasso visits the San Joaquin Valley. It's a little hazy but mind boggling anyhow.  How does this just happen?  Will it look the same way next year, too?  We'll have to fly by again.

Buddhist Temple pops out of the hills.  This piece of art was a mystery to me until I researched it at home.  It's called Odiyan.  Sacred temples lost in Tibet have been revived in spirit in these temples in Northern California.
